Information on Disc
Cautions to use Disc
- Preserve a disc in a case after use to prevent scratches.
- Using a disc in an abnormal shape (8 cm, heart shape, pentagonal shape) may cause failures.
- Do not clean a disc using alcohol, benzene, thinner or other chemical solvents. Such chemical solvents damage the disc surface.
- Exposure under direct sunlight, high humidity or temperature for a long time period may deform a disc.
- Playing a disc that is stained by foreign materials or deformed may result sound skipping or sound or video quality degrade. And writing on the both surfaces of disc may damage the disc surface.
- Clean the finger prints and/or dusts on the disc surface (data recorded surface) carefully using soft cloth.
- Data CD is not played. (However, some discs are abnormally played.)
- Be cautious not to have any foreign material other than a disc inserted in the disc slot. Foreign materials may damage the interior of the device.
- The device may fail for normal operation under an extremely high or low temperature.
- Moistures can be set on the lens during a raining or highly humid or immediately after turning the heater on in the vehicle. In this case, the normal operation fails because the device cannot read the disc. Eject the disc and wait until the moistures are dried off.
- Long-term driving on rough road surface or any severe impact on the vehicle may result abnormal disc play.
- Do not attach any sticker or label on the disc. Removed sticker or label during play may damage the system.
- Do not insert two or more discs simultaneously in the disc slot. That may damage the disc player.
- Do not hold or pull the disc while it is loaded in the disc player by the automatic loading mechanism. That may damage the disc and the disc player.
- Discs other than the genuine products may cause recognition failure and/or the system damage.

Cautions for the use of USB
Connect a USB device after starting the engine. If the engine is started with a USB device installed, a USB device can be damaged.
If it is not a standard format file, it is not played.
- MP3/WMA file only supports a music file with a compression level of 8 Kbps to 320 Kbps.
- Be cautious for statics on connecting/disconnecting a USB device.
- If encrypted MP3 player is connected to an external USB device, it is not recognized.
- When connecting a USB external device, it may not be recognized depending on the condition of a USB external device.
- FAT 16, FAT 32, exFAT and NTFS are supported.
- Some USB devices may not be supported due to compatibility issue.
- Avoid any touch on the USB connection area by any human body or material.
- Connecting and disconnecting a USB device for a short time repeatedly can cause its failure.
- Connect or disconnect a USB device after the audio power is off.
- The recognition time can vary depending on the type, capacity and format of a stored file but it is not a product failure.
- DSB device connected via a USB HUB or extension cable may cause the recognition failure. Use a USB device directly connecting to the infotainment terminal of the vehicle.
- When uploading an application program in a specific USB, the file may not be played
- When the USB device, that is not recognized as removable discs like MP3 Player, mobile phone and digital camera, was connected, it may not be operated properly.
- The charge through USB may not be supported in case of some mobile devices.
- No operation may be guaranteed except standard product (Metal Cover Type) USB memory.
- The operation of HDD Type, CF and SD memory is not guaranteed.
- The file that applied DRM (Digital Rights Management) is not played.
- The USB memory stick (SD Type or CF Type) used by being inserted into an adapter may not be recognized.

Precautions for the use of iPod
- Since communications protocol is not provided for some iPod, it may not be played.
- If an iPod fails due to its own malfunction, use the iPod after reset. (See the owner’s manual)
- iPod is charged if it is connected by a cable for iPod only with the ACC on.
- Use an exclusive iPod cable to play iPod If it is not a cable for iPod only, its operation is not guaranteed.
- Use an iPod after synchronized with iTunes. Adding/Deleting any song can cause abnormal operation.
- If iPod and Bluetooth are connected with the same iPhone, the audio function in Bluetooth cannot be used.
- iOS10.3.2 or higher is recommended in using an iPod touch or iPhone.
