Viewing text messages


You can view your messages on the system screen and listen to the messages converted to voice. You can also send a simple reply using the templates predefined on the system.

Viewing a new message

When you receive a message, a new message notification appears.
To view the message, press View.

  • Sender information

  • Activate the privacy mode to protect your personal information. In the privacy mode, personal data will not be displayed.

  • View the message details.

  • Close the notification pop-up window.
Note
If you activate privacy mode or turn off message notifications, notification pop-up windows will not appear.

  • Return to the previous level.

  • Display the options list.
  1. Display Off: Turn off the screen. Press the screen to turn it back on.
  2. Privacy Mode: Activate the privacy mode to protect your personal information. In the privacy mode, personal data will not be displayed.
  3. Change Device: Search for and connect another Bluetooth device.
  4. Device Connections Settings: Change the settings for Bluetooth connections.
  5. User's Manual on Web (QR Code): View the QR code for access to the web manual.

Viewing a message from the list

  • Use one of the following methods:
  1. On the All Menus screen, press Phone.
  2. Press the Call/Answer button on the steering wheel.

  • On the Bluetooth phone screen, press .

  • Select a message from the list.

  • View the message details.

  • Return to the previous level.

  1. Display Off: Turn off the screen. Press the screen to turn it back on.

  • Move to the previous or next message.

  • Send a simple reply using one of the message templates.

  • Call the sender back.

  • Close the notification pop-up window.
Note
  • Depending on the mobile phone type, replying to received messages may not be supported.
  • To edit or delete templates, park your vehicle in a safe location first and use your mobile phone's messaging function. You cannot edit or delete your messages on your system.
  • When you connect an iPhone, you may have some restrictions on receiving messages.
  • If the sender′s contact information is saved in your contacts list, only the sender's name will be displayed.
  • If the sender′s contact information is not saved in your contacts list, only the sender's phone number will be displayed.
  • Replying to received messages is not available.
  • If the message notification setting is disabled or the option for viewing content on the lock screen is disabled, messages will not be received by your system.
  • Depending on the system language, converting the message to voice may not be supported.
