Your system is equipped with a touch screen. You can perform various functions via touch inputs.
Caution
Do not apply excessive pressure to the touch screen or touch it with a pointed object. Doing so may damage the touch screen.
Do not let any electrically conductive material contact the touch screen, and do not place any objects that generate electromagnetic waves, such as wireless chargers or electronic devices, near the touch screen. The system may work incorrectly due to electromagnetic effects, which may cause the touch screen to malfunction.
Note
If you wear regular gloves, you will not be able to control the touch screen. Remove your gloves or wear gloves designed for use with a touch screen.
Press an object and hold it for at least one second without lifting your finger.
You can rewind or fast forward media by pressing and holding an appropriate button.
Slide
On a media playback screen, press the slide bar and slide it to a desired position.
You can change the playback position during media playback.
Drag
Press an object, drag it, and then drop it on a new location.
The selected item will move to the new position.
Swipe
Swipe the screen lightly in an appropriate direction.
This is an easy way to scroll through a menu or list quickly.

Turning the system on or off
The following explains how to turn on or off the system. Before using the system, be sure to read the user's manual for safe and convenient manipulation.
Turning on the system
To turn on the system, start the engine.
When a safety warning message appears, read it and press Confirm.
To change the display language, press Language/언어.
Turning off the system
To turn off the system while driving, press and hold the Power button on the control panel.
The screen and sound will turn off.
To use the system again, press the Power button.
After you have turned off the engine, the system will automatically turn off after a while or as soon as you open the driver's door.
Warning
For your safety, video content will not play while the vehicle is moving. Park your vehicle in a safe location before watching videos. In a manual transmission vehicle, apply the parking brake to watch videos. In an automatic transmission vehicle, shift to ″P″ (Park) or apply the parking brake.
Some functions may be disabled for safety reasons while the vehicle is moving. They work only when the vehicle stops. Park your vehicle in a safe location before using any of them.
Stop using the system if it malfunctions, such as no audio output or display. If you continue using the system when it is malfunctioning, it may lead to a fire, electric shock, or system failure.
Caution
You can turn on the system when the key ignition switch is placed in the ″ACC″ or ″ON″ position. Using the system for an extended period without the engine running drains the battery. If you plan on using the system for a long time, start the engine.
If you turn on your system without starting the engine, a battery warning will appear. Once the engine starts, the battery warning will disappear.
Note
When you turn back on the system, the previous mode and settings will remain intact.
To avoid having audio play at an excessive volume when you start the engine, adjust the volume level before stopping the engine.
You can also set the system to decrease the volume level automatically. On the All Menus screen, press Setup>Sound>Premium Sound and select the Start-up Volume Limit check box.
Getting to know the Home screen
The Home screen is the starting point for using your system and displays the current time and other information.

Depending on the vehicle model or specifications, displayed screens and menus may vary.

Current time and date
System status icons. Status icons are not included in the screenshots in this guide, because their appearance may differ depending on the system status or mode. >See "System status icons."
Radio/media information. Press to activate the corresponding radio/media function in full screen.
Map. Press to view in full screen.
Note
If an SD card is not inserted into your system, the map will not be displayed on the Home screen.
