Operating navigation

Starting Navigation

1. Press [HOME] on the front seat control key or press [B]. The home screen opens.
2. Press [MAP] on the head unit or press [Map] on the home screen. The map screen opens.

Displaying current location

Press [MAP] on the head unit to display the current vehicle location on the map screen.

Simple Navigation Functions

Simple navigation functions are listed for easy access to frequently used functions.

Press the touchpad on the front seat control key to move to simple navigation function screen.

• [+Home]/[Home]: A route to the location saved as home is advised. If any location is not saved yet, location search pop-up menu is displayed.
• [+Work]/[Work]: A route to the location saved as office is advised. If any location is not saved yet, location search pop-up menu is displayed.
• Select previous destination to have a route advised to the selected destination.
• [Search]: Search a destination by entering the full name or initial, address or coordinates.
• [Previous Destinations]: Set previous destinations as a destination.
• [Nearby POSs]: Set the desired facilities by category as a destination.
• [Saved Places]: Set [Favorites] or [Saved places] as a destination.
• [Show POI Icons]: Set facilities to mark on the map screen.

Changing Map View

The map is displayed based on the vehicle direction or the north direction.

Press [] on the map screen to change Map View.

• [North Up 2D]: Displays the map based on the north direction.
• [Heading Up 2D]: Displays the map according to the vehicle direction.
• [Heading Up 3D]: Displays buildings in 3D.
• [Neon 3D]: Displays the map in 3D neon style.

Switching Map Scale

Manually Switching Map Scale

Rotate the controller on the front seat key to left/right or zoom in/out with your finger on the map screen to change the map scale. You can adjust the map scale from 75 ft to 1800 mi.

Automatically Switching Map Scale

The map scale can be automatically set according to the current vehicle speed.

Press the map scale button on the map screen.

• [ ]: Fixed scale
• [ ]: Automatic scale. Scale changes based on the current vehicle speed.

Navigation Volume

Set the navigation voice guidance volume.

1. Press [] on the map screen.

2. Select a desired button.

• []/[]: Voice guidance or sound effects are activated. Press the button to mute.
• [J]/[I]: Turn up/Turn down the navigation volume. Or drag the volume control bar to set the volume.
• []: Voice guidance or sound effects are muted. Press the button to activate.
• [Navigation Volume Priority]: Set the volume of navigation guidance louder than the audio volume.

Navigation Settings

1. Press [Menu] > [Navigation Settings] on the map screen.

2. For more details, refer to the "Navigation settings".

Previous Destinations Settings

At the start of navigation, the previous destinations and favorite destinations are automatically displayed on the pop-up screen for 10 seconds. On the pop-up screen, press the desired destination and route to start the guidance.

• [Frequently Visited Points]: Shows frequently visited destinations.
• [Previous Destinations]: Shows previous destinations.
• Check the box “Deactivate this pop-up” not to display the pop-up screen of previous destinations. The setting is also available with [Show Previous Destinations after Navigation Start-up] in navigation settings.

Saving Location

The current vehicle locations can be saved.

1. Press [Menu] > [Save] on the map screen.

2. Set the information to be saved.

• [Name]: After editing the name, press [OK].
• [Display Icon on Map]: Set whether to display symbols on the map screen.
• [Favorites]: Select a desired favorite category.

3. Press [Save].

,NOTE

Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] to check the saved location.

POI

Setting POI Display

Set to display the POI category on the map screen.

1. Press [Menu] > [Nearby Info.] > [Show POI Icons] on the map screen.

2. Select facilities to display on the map.

SEARCHING POI Categories

1. Press [Menu] > [Nearby Info.] > [Nearby POIs] on the map screen.

2. Press a desired facility.

3. Press the desired item in the list.

• [Along Route]: Search the facility in neighboring area of route.
• [Near Current Position]: Search the facility in neighboring area of the current vehicle location.
• [Near Destination]: Search the facility in neighboring area of destination or waypoint.
• [Near Center of Map]: Search the facility in neighboring area of the center of the map.

Saved places

You can save the locations that you frequently visit and set as a destination from [Saved Places].

Adding Saved places

Save frequently visited place in saved places.

1. Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] on the map screen.
2. Press [Saved Places] > [Menu] > [Add], or press [Favorites] and the item to save a place.
3. Designate the place to save using various searching way.
4. Use search menu to save the place.

,NOTE

Refer to "Setting Destination by Saved Places" to set a saved place as a destination.

Editing saved places

1. Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] on the map screen.
2. Press [Saved Places] > [Menu] > [Edit].
3. Select an item to edit.
4. Select and edit a desired item.

• [Name]: After editing the name, press [OK].
• [Display Icon on Map]: Sets whether to display symbols on the map screen.
• [Favorites]: Selects a desired favorite category.

5. Press [Save].

Sorting saved places

1. Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] on the map screen.
2. Press [Saved Places] > [Menu] > [Name] or [Date] to sort the list.

• [Name]: Locations are sorted in alphabetical order.
• [Date]: Locations are sorted in latest date order.

Deleting Registered saved places

1. Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] on the map screen.
2. Press [Saved Places] > [Menu] > [Delete].
3. Select the desired item, press [Delete].

• [Mark All]: Selects all items.
• [Unmark All]: Unmarks all items.
• [Cancel]: Exits the screen.

Managing saved places

Importing saved places from USB Memory

This function is used to import saved places saved in a USB memory.

1. Connect a USB memory to the USB port.
2. Press [SETUP] > [Navigation] > [Nav. Auto. Features] > [User Data] > [Import Favorites and Previous Destinations from USB].
3. Press [Yes].
4. Press [OK]. Or press [View] to check the imported registered location.

Exporting saved place to USB Memory

This function is used to export saved place to a USB memory.

1. Connect a USB memory to the USB port.
2. Press [SETUP] > [Navigation] > [Nav. Auto. Features] > [User Data] > [Export Saved Places/Previous Destinations to USB].
3. Press [Yes].

,NOTE

The amount of the data imported from a USB memory is limited based on the number of the saved places supported by the navigation device. If the data saved in the USB memory uses different coordinates from the ones used in the current system, the coordinates of saved places may be changed. Import function may change previously saved places and favorites in the navigation. Check if the data is imported well before using the navigation. Import/Export function may not be supported depending on the USB memory format type. FAT16, FAT32, ex FAT and NTFS are supported. Some USB memories may not be supported due to compatibility issues.
