Launching the DMB

Using the DMB, you can watch TV programs, listen to radio broadcasts, and see the traffic information.

On the All Menus screen, press DMB.

  • When the DMB is run for the first time, the channel scan confirmation window appears. Check the content and then press Yes. The channels are automatically scanned.
  • When multiple media are connected, press the [RADIO] or [MEDIA] button once more and then press the desired media source from the Radio/Media selection window.

The DMB screen provides various functions to perform while watching a broadcast.

  1. Displays the name of the current channel.
  2. Displays the list of channels.
  3. Displays the playing DMB content. When pressed, it switches to the full screen mode.
  4. Can search for the desired channel.
  5. Can see the list of disasters. This option is available only when there is any emergency broadcast.
  6. The list of menu items appears.
    • •  Display Off: Turns off the screen. To switch the screen back on, press the screen or briefly press the power button.
    • •  Edit Channel List: Can edit the list of channels. See "Editing the DMB channel list."
    • •  Sound Settings: Displays the system sound settings screen.
    • •  Display Settings: Displays the system display settings screen.
    • •  DMB Certification Info: Can see the DMB certification (e.g. CAS ID).
    • •  User's Manual on Web (QR Code): Displays the QR code that provides access to the online user manual for the system.
    • •  Split Screen: Can turn on or off the split screen mode.

Warning

  • •  Using DMB is restricted while driving for safety reasons because negligence or distraction may cause severe or fatal injury.
  • •  Do not arbitrarily modify the system to watch DMB content while driving. Any disassembly or modification of the system voids the warranty.
  • DMB content quality may degrade or the signals may not be received when:
    • The vehicle is inside a building.
    • The vehicle is in a valley or mountain area.
    • The vehicle is near the tram lines, high-voltage lines, or neon signs.
    • The vehicle is near a radio broadcasting station and a transmitting antenna or tower of an amateur radio station.
    • You are using a mobile phone or other electronic devices in the vehicle.
    • The vehicle is far away from broadcasting stations.
  • DMB broadcast signals may not be received smoothly depending on the local broadcast schedule, broadcasting environment, and radio signal conditions.
  • The channels and programs can be changed when the transmission format is changed.
  • When receiving radio broadcast signals, a blank screen may appear while a connection is being established.
  • Depending on the reception status, the channel scanning time may become longer.
  • Even though a channel has been searched normally, the signals may not be received depending on the broadcasting condition.
  • The sound effect settings button may appear on the screen depending on the amp specifications. See "Adjusting the sound effect (if equipped)."

Scanning channels

When there is no scanned channel or you have moved to another area, first perform a channel scan.

On the DMB screen, press Search Yes.

After scanning is completed, the first channel in the scanned channel list is played automatically.

  • When you press Cancel, or use the Search knob before searching is finished, the channel search stops and you are redirected to the previous channel.

Changing the channel

On the control panel, use the Search knob to select the desired channel.

You can watch the changed DMB content.

Selecting channels to display

You can display only the desired channels on the list.

  1. At the upper left of the DMB screen, press Edit Channel List.
  2. Select the desired channels from the searched channels.

Only the checked channels appear on the list.

Changing the order of channels on the list

  1. At the upper left of the DMB screen, press Edit Channel List.
  2. On the list of channels, press and hold next to the channel and then drag it to the desired position.

The list of updated channels is registered.
