Genesis Connected Services Subscription provides Smart Control, Safety, Vehicle Management, Driving for free of charge for a certain period of time. For more information on the free period, please visit the Genesis website (https://www.genesis.com).
Smart Control requires MY GENESIS app. Download and install the application in the smartphone from Apple App Store or Google Playstore.

Use of Service

Remote Engine On and Remote Climate Control
Optimizes the interior temperature of vehicle in advance at a remote location. The air conditioner or heater will operate by comparing the set temperature with the outside temperature, and the remote climate control option can also remove windshield moisture and frost.
Remote engine start is essential for remote air conditioning, and the remote engine start time can be set from 2 minutes to 10 minutes.
(During the remote engine start mode, when the driver opens the door using the smart key and rides in the vehicle, the mode is switched to the normal engine start.)

Remote Engine OFF
After the remote engine on/climate, the user may cancel the climate (engine on) remotely.

For the safety of customer, during driving or under a circumstance determined as the driver is in the vehicle, Remote Engine ON/OFF is disabled. (Doors are not locked by the smart key, the Gear is not positioned at P, etc.).

Please be noted that, in some areas, the ordinance of local government restricts the place and/or duration of engine idling.

Please be cautious that the wiper is activated after the engine is turned off while the wiper switched to on.

Depending on the climate condition and the location of vehicle, the value set by the remote control and the actual condition of the vehicle may differ.

Service Features

Door opening is available even if the key is lost or the doors are locked having the key in the vehicle. The request to lock the doors is available when being away from the vehicle with the lock is cleared.

If the door is not opened within 30 seconds after the remote door unlock, the door are automatically locked again.

There is a risk of theft when the remote door is opened, so always use the service only in a safe place.

Remote Door Lock/Unlock does not actually open/close, but only locks/unlocks the doors.

When a door is opened, Remote Door Lock is not available.

To stop the horn sound (27 seconds) early, Lock and Unlock the doors using the smart key.

Shows the engine run status, the door lock status (Driver Seat/Passenger Seat/Rear Seat), the truck open status, hood open status, the window open status and the climate Status (the set condition).

When you turn off the engine, the MY GENESIS app automatically displays vehicle status information. (Depending on the condition of the vehicle takes a few seconds ~ minutes)

Defrost Icon is specified only when the moisture (frost) removal feature is on.

Safety
Feel safe even for unexpected accidents. When the car accident occurs, the signal of operation is automatically notified to Genesis Connected Services Emergency Rescue Center and the emergency rescue and accident process are supported.

When the car accident occurs, the signal of operation is transmitted to Genesis Connected Services Emergency Rescue Center and the fast emergency rescue and accident process are supported.

The automatic call answering mode is switched after the air bag is operated for the customer to answer the phone even when it is hard to answer due to injuries or etc..

The automatic call answering mode is cleared when the counselor closes the service the engine is turned off.
Use of Service
When the car accident occurs, it will be automatically reported to the Genesis Connected Services Emergency Rescue Center, and a call will be made to the vehicle to determine the accident situation, and the counselor will call 119 and the insurance company for assistance.

The service shall not be provided when the terminal device is not normally operated due to the modification, installation/uninstallation, damage or defective service.

When the power supply is failed because of the vehicle batteries damaged by excessive impacts form an accident, the service may become disabled.

If any additional device such as the remote starter is installed on the vehicle, please be especially cautious that an error transmitting the air bag operation signal even when no accident happens.
Feel safe with Genesis Connected Services even in any emergency situation that may occur during driving. Press SOS button at the forward end of interior light buttons using Genesis Customer Center ARS (080-700-6000) have Genesis Connected Services Center to connect 112/119, insurance company and other partners for supports on the customer’s emergent situation.
Service Features

In the event of a vehicle accident, it will be sent to the Genesis Connected Services Emergency Rescue Center to protect the safety of customers through rapid emergency rescue and accident assistance.

The automatic call answering mode is cleared when the counselor closes the service or the engine is turned off.

When calling to 119(112), 3-way call is made connecting the counsellor and the 119(112) staff simultaneously so that the rapid dispatch is supported by checking the accident location and the customer information through the counselor.
Use of Service

Pressing SOS button automatically connects a counselor who checks the situation of customer and supports the emergency situation by requesting 119 and other supporting volunteers for dispatch.

Service Description

Emergency Rescue Service
The rescue service is provided when the driving is impossible due to an accident or a natural disaster. However, additional charge may occur according to the complexity or the time consumption of the rescue service.

Emergency Towing Service
The emergency towing service is provided when the driving is impossible due to a failure or an accident. The distance of 10 km from the starting point of towing is free of charge, and a separate fee will be charged for exceeding the free towing section.
-
Emergency Gas Service
Up to 3L of petroleum or diesel is provided for free of charge when the driving is impossible since the fuel has run out. However, for LPG vehicles, the emergency fuel service is not possible so that the emergency towing service is provided.

Battery Charging Service
When driving the vehicle is impossible due to the battery discharge, the free battery charging service is provided. In case of the battery change according to the customer’s intention, the charge should be paid by the customer.

Unlock Service
The unlock service is provided for free of charge if the key of vehicle is lost or the doors are locked while the key is left inside. (however, the lock of trunk is excluded)

Tire Exchange Service
If driving is impossible a due to flat or damaged tire, the service to change the tire with the spare tire stored in the vehicle. However, In case of the tire change to new one according to the customer’s intention, the charge should be paid by the customer. If no spare tire is in the vehicle or two or more tires are damaged, since the handling at the site is impossible, the emergency towing service is provided.

Other Emergency Service at Site
If driving is impossible, emergency services available at the site is provided for free of charge. However, any charge occurred due to repairing or exchanging of any part should be paid by the customer.

For quick support of emergencies, please use the server-linked VR service for services such as providing information and guiding directions, not emergency.

Services are unavailable for vehicles not registered in Genesis Connected Services.
(ex: Other vehicles owned by the customer subscribing Genesis Connected Services, Vehicles owned by other family members.)

In areas where the works on roads are prohibited by related laws, the emergency towing service is provided for the safety of customer.
(ex: Highway, Expressway and Bridge, etc.)

Services for towing, door unlock, tire change, emergency gas and battery changing are provided by the subscribed insurance company or Hi-car service, a partner of Genesis Connected Services according to the customer’s intention.
-
In case of any other item including the warranty repair, the emergency dispatch service is provided. In this case, the service is subjected to the clauses and agreements of the warranty of the new vehicle purchased by the customer.

For immediate service, please notify on change of the license no., the insurance company or emergency contact info. to Genesis Customer Center (080-700-6000).
This service is to support rapid finding of a stolen vehicle in connection with the policy by checking the vehicle’s location after confirming the theft report to the police.
Service Features
In case of a vehicle theft, Genesis Connected Services Emergency Rescue Center supports for effective and fast tracking of the stolen vehicle by providing the current location and the driving route to the police in real-time.
Use of Service
-
After phone call connection to Genesis Customer Center (080-700-6000), select the Theft Tracking Service following the ARS guidance to connect to a counselor. After confirming of the police report through the customer identification procedure, the theft tracking service is provided.

To prevent infringement of the customer privacy or abuse of the service, the Theft Tracking service is not provided for any case that is not reported to the police.

To protect the private information and the location information, the service is provided only when the police requests.
-
It is only available to Genesis Connected Service subscribers and will undergo a certain identification process for this purpose.
If the vehicle theft alarm is activated, the alarm is automatically detected and a SMS is sent to the customer’s mobile phone.
Service Features
If the vehicle theft alarm is activated, the theft or towing of the customer’s vehicle is prevented by sending a SMS to the customer’ mobile phone that previously has been registered.
Use of Service

When the vehicle theft alarm is activated, the signal is automatically transmitted to Genesis Connected Services Emergency Rescue Center.

On reception of the signal, a SMS notifying the theft alarm is automatically transmitted to the customer’s mobile phone.

Theft Alarm Notification is provided only when the theft alarm of vehicle is activated.
-
Theft Alarm Notification is not provided for vehicles without theft alarm system.

Vehicle Theft Alarm refers the alarm by blinking emergency lights and activating the alert sound if any door, the engine hood or the trunk locked by the smart key (or remote key) is opened not using the smart key (or remote key).

For some vehicles, the theft alarm system can be activated or deactivated by using the general key (or spare key).
-
If the door is locked by a key that is not the smart key, Theft Alarm Notification is not activated.
If a vehicle impact is detected while parking, it will automatically detect it and send a notification to the MY GENESIS app.
Service Features
If a vehicle's Drive Video Record System device is operating, if the vehicle impact is detected while parking, a user can recognize vehicle accidents, etc. by informing the user through the MY GENESIS app.
Use of Service
If the vehicle's Drive Video Record System device is detected by an impact, the MY GENESIS app displays the instruction that the impact was detected.

The impact notification service while parking is only provided when the Drive Video Record System device is operating.

Vehicles that are not equipped with the Drive Video Record System device are not provided with the impact notification service while parking.
Vehicle Management
Automatic Management and Report on my Vehicle - The service is to periodically check the condition of customer’s vehicle and reports the result through e-mail.
Service Features
-
This automatically checks the vehicle for faults on the specified day of each month and sends the inspection results to the Genesis Customer Center.

The result of analysis of the information collected from the vehicle for a month is delivered via email.
Use of Service
-
Provides helps to check the condition of vehicle once a month without out any special control on the menu.
-
Monthly report of the month will be sent when driving within 7 days from the set inspection date. If you do not drive within 7 days of the inspection day, monthly report service will not be performed.

Periodic inspection days are automatically set after 7 days from the contract date.
-
Periodic inspection days can be changed on the Genesis homepage(genesis.com) provided in the monthly report.

Suspicious malfunction items can be automatically erased depending on the operation status of the vehicle, and if you have completed the inspection at the repair shop, the diagnosis result and the condition of the vehicle may be different.

The report can be viewed on the integrated Genesis homepage or MY GENESIS app.

The email address to receive the periodical check report can be changed on the website (genesis.com).
Reliable Doctor for my Vehicle! According to the result of vehicle diagnostics transmitted to Genesis Connected Services Center, the service is guided to support the safety of customer and the protection of vehicle.
Service Features
If the light alerting the remote diagnostics on the cluster of vehicle is on, selecting Vehicle Diagnostics makes the counselor deliver the diagnostics result and the service for towing, the direction for service center and the service reservation is provided.
Use of Service

Press Connected Services > Vehicle Diagnostics to check any failure on the vehicle.

In case of any failure found from the vehicle diagnostics, press Service Link to receive services for towing/ repairing through the counselor.

Diagnostics is on the engine transmission system related to the safety of vehicle, The failure is detected only when the alert light for the system on the cluster is on.

If the alert light is failed on a vehicle failure, press SOS on the terminal device to request a service to the counselor for the direction to a close center or towing.

The result of the diagnosis is the primary diagnosis result estimated from the vehicle signal remotely, and for a detailed diagnosis, you must visit the service center or service partner point for inspection.
Navigation Guidance
Genesis Connected Services navigation reflects real-time traffic information to provide a quick and safe route to your destination.
Service Features
Provides fast and accurate navigation service to avoid traffic congestion by using predicted traffic information and traffic information collected in real-time.

A user can receive instructions from the vehicle to the final destination on user's smartphone.
Use of Service
When the vehicle is turned off, the distance to the destination is more than 200 meters and less than 2 km, the MY GENESIS app displays the final destination notification.

The service setting is impossible if the vehicle is located in an area where the mobile phone is not working. (Move the vehicle to a phone working area.)

When the message “The registered customer information is incorrect.” appears, contact Genesis Customer Center (080-700-6000).

Turning the engine off during the service setting process may cause a failure of the terminal device.
Service change/cancellation is available any time by using Genesis Customer Center or Genesis website. (Items available for Change: Customer Information, Payment Information, Additional Services)
However, the website is available only for the personal customers under the same names of the vehicle contract and the Genesis Connected Services subscription. (Id of Full Member of Genesis website is required.)
Request for Change
You can request for various change works to use the Genesis Connected Services by using Genesis Customer Center or Genesis website.

Documents required for the procedure of change or personal identification can be requested.

In case of change of the contract party or the owner of vehicle due to the ownership transfer of a used vehicle, the previous contract should be terminated and the subscription should be made under the name of new owner.

In case of the subscription under the new name due to change of the contract party or the owner, the promotion of free basic fee is not applied.

How to Subscribe Again

If you want to use the service again after termination, contact the Genesis Customer Center (080-700-6000).

In case of re-subscription, the promotion of free basic fee is not applied.

Genesis Connected Services should be terminated in case of the ownership transfer of vehicle or the return of leased/rented vehicle. If the termination request is failed, the fees will be continuously charged.
Any inquiry on Genesis Carpay subscription is consulted on Genesis Customer Center (080-700-6000) or Genesis Website.

Service may not be available in case of any of the followings. Reference the terms and conditions for other detail conditions for use.

Interruption or delay of mobile communication service by the communication service provider. Service requested in an area where the mobile communication service is interfered.

The service can be delayed, temporarily interrupted or unavailable due to a physical restriction on the mobile communication network or a change in the business or policy of the mobile communication company. In such case, the company shall be free from the responsibilities.

Remote Climate Control, Remote Door Lock/Unlock, Parking Location Check and Theft Alarm shall be provided only within 168 hours (7 days) ~ 336 hours (14 days) after the vehicle’s engine is turned off for the safety of power supply of vehicle.

Service Stopped due to Delayed Charge Payment

Discretional Repair or Installation of the Genesis Connected Services terminal device in operation by fluent connections with the overall electric devices in the vehicle or the vehicle
-
Power supply to the terminal stopped due to a natural disaster or the batteries damaged by a severe impact or discharged.
-
If there is a vehicle in an abnormal GPS positioning satellite, interference with radio wave reception, or an area where radio waves are not recognized, or if the GPS positioning satellite service itself becomes unavailable commercially (Transition to a paid service included)

Vehicle located in a tunnel or underground space or in an area where GPS satellites are not recognized due to large buildings or other causes.

Any issue by the user’s negligence on the remote control service through MY GENESIS app.
-
In the event of maintenance, inspection, replacement, or failure of the center system, and if it is impossible to provide normal services due to natural disasters, national emergency, failures, failures of facilities, or congestion of service use, all or part of the service may be restricted or suspended.

Genesis Connected Services is subjected to frequent change, deletion and/or addition according to the company’s condition.

The company shall be immune for the responsibilities on any service failure due to any of the above stated cases and/or any issue caused by the service.
