Making Phone Calls

Making a phone call by entering the number

  1. Press [Phone] > [G] on the home screen.

  1. Enter the phone number on dial pad.
  2. Press [U] on dial pad or [W] on steering wheel remote control to make a call.

,NOTE
  • In case of entering a wrong number, press [N] to delete each digit. Pressing and holoding [N] deletes all entered numbers.
  • Pressing and holding [0] on dial pad enters '+'.
  • Phone call is available by entering only a part of the phone number. When '010' is entered, all contact numbers including '010' are listed on the left screen. Press the desired contact to place a call.

Making Phone Calls via Voice Recognition

  1. Press [P] on the screen. The system waits for your command and displays a list of available commands on the screen.
  2. If you hear a beep sound after voice guidance, say ‘Name1'.

Making Phone Calls via Speed Dial

On the dial screen, Press and hold the speed dial no. registered in the phone using dial pad.

Ex) If it's 8, press and hold 8.

Ex) If it's 12, press 1 shortly and press and hold 2.

,NOTE

Some mobile phone models may not support this feature.

Making Phone Calls via Re-Dial

On call waiting screen (No phone number is entered), press and hold [U] on dial screen or [W] on steering wheel remote control to connect to the most recent call number.

,NOTE
  • Re-dial is not available if no phone call has been made or a Bluetooth phone is not connected.
  • On call waiting screen (No phone number is entered), Press [U] on dial screen or [W] button on the steering wheel remote control to enter the most recent call number.

Receiving Phone Calls

  1. To receive an incoming call, press [Accept] on the screen or [W] button on the steering wheel remote control.

  1. The call is connected.

Responding to incoming call with text

  1. If you want to respond with a text message, press the [Messages] on the screen.

  1. Select the desired character and press the [Send].

Rejecting Phone Calls

  1. To reject an incoming call, press [Reject] on the screen or press and hold [W] button on the steering wheel remote control.

  1. The call is rejected.

Switching Calls to Mobile Phone/Hands-free

Switches a call from hands-free to mobile phone or vice versa.

  1. To switch from hands-free to mobile phone during a phone conversation, press [P Use Private] on the screen.
  2. The screen displays the call is switched to private mode.

  1. To switch from private mode to hands-free during a phone conversation again, press [O Use Handsfree Calling] on the screen.

Hanging up Calls

  1. To finish a phone conversation, press [16148.png End] on the screen or [W] button on the steering wheel remote control.

  1. The phone is hung up.

,NOTE
  • To control the mic volume during a phone conversation, press [Outgoingvolume_JK1_AVN_USA.png].
  • To cut the sound delivered to the other party during a phone conversation, press [Micoff_JK1_AVN_USA.png].
  • To open dial pad during a phone conversation, press [G].

Setting Device Connection

  1. Press [Setup] > [Device Connections] > [Device Connections] on the home screen. Device connection settings screen opens.
  2. For more details, refer to the "Device Connection settings".

,NOTE

Pressing [a] on the dial pad also opens Bluetooth setting screen.

Setting Outgoing Volume

Sets outgoing volume for phone conversations.

  1. Press [Outgoingvolume_JK1_AVN_USA.png] during a phone conversation.

  1. Drag and touch to adjust outgoing volume.

,NOTE

MIC is switched off to [Micon_JK1_AVN_USA.png] when the outgoing volume is set to 0.

setting MIC ON/OFF

Cuts the sound delivered to the other party during a phone conversation.

  1. Press [Micoff_JK1_AVN_USA.png] during a phone conversation.

  1. To turn mic on again, press [Micon_JK1_AVN_USA.png].

,NOTE
  • Mic can be turned on/off during a phone conversation by pressing [f] button on the steering wheel remote control.
  • MIC is switched off to [Micon_JK1_AVN_USA.png] when the outgoing volume is set to 0.

Switching Keypad

Switching to ARS number entrance screen during a phone conversation is available.

  1. Press [G] during a phone conversation.
