Activating Navigation

Starting Navigation

1. Press [HOME] on the front seat control key or [B]. Home screen opens.
2. Press [Map] on the home screen, or press [MAP] on the head unit. The map screen opens.

Current Location Specification

Press [MAP] on the head unit while using. The system specifies the current vehicle location and the map of the surrounding area.

Simple Navigation Feature

Simple navigation features are listed for easy access to frequently used features.

Moves to the simple navigation screen if you press the front seat control key's touchpad on the map screen.

• [+Home]/[Home]: A route to the location saved as home is advised. If any location is not saved yet, location search pop-up menu is displayed.
• [+Work]/[Work]: A route to the location saved as office is advised. If any location is not saved yet, location search pop-up menu is displayed.
• [Search]: Sets a destination by entering the POI name, address, coordinates, or ZIP code.
• [POI Categories]: Searches POIs in along route, near current position, near destination, near center of map, near city center.
• [POI Display]: Sets the POI items to display on the map.
• Selects previous destination to have a route advised for the selected destination.

Changing Map View

The map is displayed based on the vehicle direction or the north direction.

Map view change is available by pressing []/[]/[]/[] pop-up on the map screen.

• [] (2D North Up): The map displays always pointing north, regardless of the direction of the vehicle is moving.
• [] (2D Heading Up): The map displays always showing the vehicle’s direction as proceeding towards the top of the screen.
• [] (3D Map): The map displays always the basic outline and details of the surrounding roads and general area.
• [] (Neon): The map displays buildings in 3D Neon.

Switching Map Scale

Manually Switching Map Scale

Rotate controller on the front seat key to left/right or zoom in/out with your finger on the map screen to change the map scale. You can adjust the map scale to 75 ft to 1800 mi.

Automatically Switching Map Scale

The map scale can be automatically set/canceled according to the current vehicle speed.

Press the map scale button on the map screen.

• (Auto inactivation): Fixed scale
• (Auto activation): Automatic scale (Scale changes based on the current vehicle speed)

Navigation Volume

Sets the volume of voice guidance and sound effect of navigation.

1. Press [] on the map screen.

2. Select a desired item.

• Press [J]/[I] to control the volume.
• [c]: Voice and sound effect guidance activation.
• [Voice]: Adjusts the volume of the voice guidance.
• [Sound Effect]: Adjusts the volume of the sound effect.
• [d]: Voice and sound effect guidance mute.
• [
  
  ]: Navigation volume is controlled by one action.
• [Navigation Volume Priority]: Check the box to have the volume of navigation guidance louder than the audio volume.

Navigation Settings

1. Press [Menu] > [Navigation Settings] on the map screen.

2. For more details, refer to the "Navigation settings".

Previous Destinations Settings

When the navigation starts, pop-up display of previous and favorite destinations automatically opens for approx. 10 seconds.

Press a destination on the pop-up message and select a desired route to start the guidance.

(Available only when no route is set.)

• [Frequently Visited Points]: Shows favorite destinations.
• [Previous Destinations]: Shows previous destinations.
• Check the box “Deactivate this pop-up” to stop the pop-up of previous destinations.

Registering Location

The current vehicle locations can be registered.

1. Press [Menu] > [Save] on the map screen.

2. Set the information to be saved.

• [Name]: After editing the name, press [OK].
• [Display Icon on Map]: Sets a symbol to specify on the map screen.
• [Favorites]: Selects a favorite to register the location.

3. Press [Save].

Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] to check the registered location.

POI

Setting POI Display

Sets to display the POI category on the map screen.

1. Press [Menu] > [Nearby POIs] > [POI Display] on the map screen.

2. Select a facility to mark on the map.

Searches POI Categories

1. Press [Menu] > [Nearby POIs] > [POI Categories] on the map screen.

2. Press a desired item. (Ex: Parking)

3. Select a desired list.

• [Along Route]: Searches the facility in neighboring area of route.
• [Near Current Position]: Searches the facility in neighboring area of the current vehicle location.
• [Near Destination]: Searches the facility in neighboring area of destination or waypoint.
• [Near Center of Map]: Searches the facility in neighboring area of selected location.
• [Near City Center]: Searches the facility in neighboring area of city center.

Home, Work, Favorite

Home, work or a frequently visited location can be saved/edited in or deleted from favorite.

Saving Favorite

1. Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] > [Favorites] on the map screen.
2. Press a desired item.

3. Use search menu to set [Home], [Work] or [Favorite 1] to [Favorite 3].

4. When setting is completed, press [OK].

Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] > [Favorites] to check [Home], [Work] or [Favorite 1] to [Favorite 3]. Reference "Setting Destinations by Saved Place” for setting of [Home], [Work] or [Favorite 1] to [Favorite 3].

Editing Favorite

1. Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] > [Favorites] > [Menu] > [Edit] on the map screen.
2. Select an item to edit. (Ex: Home)

3. Select and edit a desired item.

• [Display Icon on Map]: Sets a symbol to specify on the map screen.
• [Favorites]: Selects a desired favorite category.

4. Press [Save].

Deleting Favorite

1. Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] > [Favorites] > [Menu] > [Delete] on the map screen.

2. Select the desired item, press [Delete].

• [Mark All]: Selects all items.
• [Unmark All]: Unmarks all items.
• [Cancel]: Exits screen.

Adding/Editing/Deleting Saved place

You can add interested locations to set the destination easily, and edit and delete the added locations.

Adding Saved place

Saves frequently visited place in saved place.

1. Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] on the map screen.
2. Press [Saved Places] on address book screen.
3. Press [Menu] > [Add].
4. Set a desired location by using search menu.

5. When setting is completed, press [OK] > [Save].

,NOTE

Reference "Setting Destinations by Saved Place" to set a registered location as a destination.

Editing Registered saved place

1. Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] on the map screen.
2. Press [Saved Places].
3. Press [Menu] > [Edit].
4. Select an item to edit.
5. Select and edit a desired item.

• [Name]: After editing the name, press [OK].
• [Display Icon on Map]: Sets a symbol to specify on the map screen.
• [Favorites]: Changes the favorite category.

6. Press [Save].

Sorting Registered saved place

1. Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] on the map screen.
2. Press [Saved Places].
3. Press [Menu] > [Name] or [Date] to sort the list.

• [Name]: Locations are sorted in alphabetical order.
• [Date]: Locations are sorted in latest date order.

Deleting Registered saved place

1. Press [Menu] > [Destination] > [Saved Places] on the map screen.
2. Press [Saved Places].
3. Press [Menu] > [Delete].
4. Select the desired item, press [Delete].

• [Mark All]: Selects all items.
• [Unmark All]: Unmarks all items.
• [Cancel]: Exits screen.

Managing saved place

Importing saved place from USB Memory

This feature is used to import saved place saved in a USB memory.

1. Connect a USB memory to the USB port.
2. Press [Setup] > [Navigation] > [Others] > [User Data] > [Import Saved Places/Previous Destinations from USB] on the home screen.

3. Press [Yes].

4. Press [OK]. Press [View] to check the imported registered location.

Exportingsaved place to USB Memory

This feature is used to export saved place to a USB memory.

1. Connect a USB memory to the USB port.
2. Press [Setup] > [Navigation] > [Others] > [User Data] > [Export Saved Places/Previous Destinations to USB] on the home screen.

3. Press [Yes].

,NOTE

The data amount to import from a USB memory is limited based on the number of registered locations supported by the navigation device. If the data saved in the USB memory uses different coordinates from the ones used in the current system, the coordinates of registered locations may change. Import feature may change previously saved registered locations as well as favorites in the navigation device. Use after checking if the import feature has been normally performed is recommended. Import/Export feature may not be supported depending on the USB memory format type. FAT16, FAT32, ex FAT and NTFS are supported. Some USB memories may not be supported due to compatibility issues.
